I have labelled the backup camera as an issue on my blog; however, according to Audi technician at Audi Tyson's support center this is not a issue but a "feature." Here is the problem:
- When I put the vehicle in reverse then the backup camera shows up in the virtual cockpit as expected
- After transitioning from reverse to drive the backup camera does not go away in the virtual cockpit which seems odd or a glitch in the software.

- After transitioning from reverse to park the backup camera does not go away in the virtual cockpit which seems odd or a glitch in the software.

- One time I put the vehicle in reverse and the back up camera did not show up in the virtual cockpit. This is definitely a bug.
The Audi technician told me that this is a feature not a bug (minus the one time it don't work at all). When you transition from reverse to drive the backup camera will be removed from the virtual cockpit once the vehicle hits 5 mph. The reason is to further assist in parking assuming you transitioned to drive to move forward and then backup again. I kind of understand the logic; however, I have used other vehicles that have backup cameras and none of them work in this manner. When you transition from reverse to drive the backup camera goes away. The reason this "feature" is odd to me is because when I transition from reverse to drive and I still see the backup camera on the virtual cockpit it makes me think I am still in reverse. Again, maybe this is just a preference but it seems funny to me. Hopefully, someone from Audi will see this blog and update the virtual cockpit to allow users to control this "feature."
